    Worked straight out of the packaging after inserting two AA batteries (not included).Bought this to replace the original remote of my VIZIO E260MV tv. As you can see in the photos, the original remote has seen better days; the buttons were not as responsive even with fresh batteries and the button markings had faded (tried to revive it with Sharpie hah). It was definitely time for a replacement.This replacement remote is slightly bigger than the original, but I actually like it better. The buttons are responsive and the Menu/+ buttons concave, so it just feels nice when pressed.Some notes:- This remote is NOT backlit- I kept the plastic liner on it to preserve the markings for as long as possible (we’ll see how long it lasts before starting to fade haha)- The buttons make a fairly audible clicking sound when pressed. It’s not as quiet as the original remotes of my more modern electronics, but it’s not bothersome at all- Packaging was very minimal. No box, no wrappings, no papers. Only packaged inside a clear poly bag shipped with an Amazon poly mailer. My remote was delivered safely and the remote itself seems to work fine, but I can easily imagine the item being damaged with rough handling or crushed by boxes as it lacks protective packaging.- My remote does NOT have the VIZIO logo on the bottom, but photos from other buyers do. I doubt this is an OEM remote, so they must’ve removed the logo for legal purposes.All in all, this remote does the job. Straightforward, no fuss.

    The replacement remote for my Vizio TV worked as its supposed to. Aside from missing the word “VIZIO” stamped on its plastic body, its function keys are exactly same as original, tested all the keys & they all worked flawlessly. A good buy for a replacement remote.

    Thanks to previous reviewers, I figured out that the battery compartment is mislabeled. It does NOT use AAA batteries, but AA. The remote works fine, but it is a cheap imitation. I don’t mind because I only use it to change HDMI inputs or the menu functions for my older unsmart Vizio monitor. I have other remotes for the other things.No complaints so far.
