   Toshiba TV Died in 8 Months – Smoke, Burnt Parts, and Zero Ownership by Brand or Platform
   This has been an utterly shocking and frustrating experience with what I thought was a premium brand and a reliable platform.I purchased the Toshiba 65” QLED Google TV (Model: 65M550MP) on Amazon in July 2024. Just 8 months in, the TV completely failed during normal use—it shut down abruptly, started emitting smoke and a strong burning smell, and became completely non-functional. This wasn’t a minor glitch—it was a serious electrical failure that could have posed a fire hazard.A service technician finally opened the unit and confirmed that both the Power Supply Board and the Main Logic Board (Motherboard) had completely burned out. The TV is now classified as dead, and I was told that I need to wait 10–12 days just for parts to arrive—no replacement, no accountability, no urgency.I have attached photos of the damaged internal parts for anyone who thinks I might be exaggerating. This is real, and it’s unacceptable.For a product that costs close to ₹60,000, this kind of catastrophic internal failure in less than a year is a clear indicator of poor quality control or a manufacturing defect. Even more disappointing is the lack of proactive support from either Toshiba or Amazon in facilitating a fair, fast resolution.Buyers beware: If you’re planning to buy high-value electronics from Amazon, ask yourself whether you’re ready to deal with this level of stress and service delay if something goes wrong. Once the return window closes, you’re on your own.This experience has completely shattered my trust in both the Toshiba brand and the Amazon platform when it comes to major electronics.

   Installation very bad
   We bought this TV on 2 oct but still no installation from the management, we have been calling them for a while now but they keep denying that they will came to installation or they simply just power off their phonesThe TV is good no complaints but the installation is not.so I hope after reading this feedback they will come to installationReally disappointed in amazon

   Superb Value for money, (update after just 1 week)
   **TV is replaced with new one after 3 weeks. Its now working fine, Lets see the reliability, TV is better working now**this 65 inch TV has the potential to revolutionize Indian TV marketSuperb Colors a s Value for Money. My initial seaexh was 55 inch, but upgraded to 65 as it is affordable. got it at good discount with Sbi card .Bought the 49 watt versuon of the TV paying about Rs. 4500 extra just for the sound and 0.5 gb ram, Sound is OkOk, still may need a sound bar. The speed of operarions is goodUpdate after one week: bottom half gone blank and tv automatically switching itself off every few minutes, after switching off and On, screen is coming with bottom half with lines.Called.amazon customer care, apparently there is no home return policu, we have to take the 65 inch tv to service center for repair it seems..very dissatisfied and my initital elation is punctured within a week.

   Bad support.
   Toshiba Customer support is horrendous, HDMI stopped working so after 2 weeks they sent technician who said board had to be replaced 2 weeks later they came and replaced board, now whole television isn’t working, then they said software issue, came back another week later and nothing is working.No sign of anyone for another 2 weeks despite repeated calls to service centre and saying someone will come tomorrow.

   QLED 65 inch TV
   I bought two 65 inch QLEd TV and Toshiba came out the best. Rich color, vibrant sound…amazing view. My hall is very big and i dont require any extra sound bar. World class indeed.
