    Sony HTS 40r vs Samsung B67 vs Sony HTS 500 RF. Old is gold
    I was planning to buy HTS40r and came across this model. I had short listed Samsung B670 also following many reviews online. So here is my honest review.I tested out all the 3 speakers at showroom before buying. I had even almost booked for the HTS40 rs by paying partial amount at shop and cancelled it after hearing the audio from it. HTS40 and other newer models come with a cheaper Subwoofer that doesnt even look professional. You can feel the quality by just tapping on the speaker body. 500RF uses a more quality material and it looks premium. Even the speakers look premium with the mesh design compared to Samsung and Hts40r.— Sound quality —B670 was more of treble with less bass. 500RF is less treble with more bass. And HTS40r sounded the worst. Audio clarity was way too poor. I felt like my tv speakers are better than that.—- Cons of 500 RF —— It has some fan sound when speaker heats up- High electricity usage- Its completely wired. You will have to draw the wires to rear speakers through your wall. Sony installation team doesnt install through pipes. You have to do it urself- Rear speaker wire is just 10 M, which may not be sufficient for many.— Notes —- To get the best audio quality, if you are using a cheap TV like me, buy an additional Apple TV to get the best audio quality. or go for a Sony tv next time u upgrade tv. I use Xiaomi QLED tv at home and this speaker didn’t sound like a premium speaker until i added a Apple TV box to the system- You might need an additional SPDIF cable as many TVs donot support HDMI Dolby digital audio even though they write so in the specs. I was able to connect this to TV via HDMI ARC, but the audio was sterio only. Go for the Amazon basics cable over a cheap local one.-Install the speakers around you in proper positions to get the effect- Dont expect a superb experience like theater with regards to surround sound. Most of the movies online have very bare 5.1 audio effects. mostly its some bgm that rotates thru the rear speakers. Most of the time rear speakers will be off.- The volume levels are not too much. Because most speakers does the best job in 60-80 % volume and this ones 60% volume is just enough for a big room. So its not too over powered or earth shattering. Also dont expect much from a 6.5 inch woofer.

    Best soundbar in this budget
    This is the best soundbar in this budget range. It looks classy and elegant, nothing fancy and loud. The build quality is awesome with metal grills. The sound clarity is super good, the bass will shake your home. The rear speakers add a great surround effect. The only complaint I have is the dialogues are low in a 5.1 channel content, if you increase the volume the action sequence gets way too loud. It would have been great if there was a center channel volume control. This is not an issue if using bluetooth or the source audio is not 5.1 channel.But I would say if you have a budget around 35k – 40k, go for this one instead of the newer fancy dolby atmos soundbars. Nothing can beat having dedicated surround speakers.

    Good., but not satisfied. My old LG 400 w sound bar is far better than this.This was Good for movie and not good for music.For Base lovers don’t go for this.For base you have to keep more volume.Build quality is Awesome.Vocals are very clear
